So who am I, eh?
I'm a Sikh. If you don't know what that means, you should Google it. I grew up in the land of cows, snake charmers and call centres. Yes, of course its true, those are the only things of note in India. And everything else they tell you on TV is fact too.
Growing up (I use the term loosely), my mates called me Harry and the "D" is the mark of my ancestors so that's "HarryD".
Being Indian, the only career options presented to me were IT and professional Cricket. Being crap at cricket made my choice easier.
My real passion is the outdoors. I inherited a love of Adventure and the outdoors from my Dad and it's been a constant in my life from a very young age. Rock climbing, White water farting..umm I mean rafting..kayaking, trekking, mountain biking. These have kept me from drowning in the humdrum of daily life.
Since 2004, I've been living down under in the land of Kangaroos, laid back and out back. Yes, of course its true, every one in Australia is laid back and has a pet kangaroo out back. And everything else they tell you in the tourist brochure is fact too.
I live in southern Sydney. My life is blessed and complete and I have much to be grateful for.
What else? Ah yes, motorcycling! That's kinda taken over my life for the past few years. I've always loved motorcycles but its now an obsession, one I have no intention of finding a cure for! Here, you can read about my motorcycling journey.
All my free time, and there is precious little of that nowadays between work and the demands of a young family, is consumed by motorcycles. If I'm not actually riding a motorcycle, I'm working on one or reading or writing about them. It is an all consuming passion and what makes it even more special is the people I share this passion with. I have made some fantastic friends through motorcycling. They are stand-up, passionate people who live their values and breathe motorcycles. I feel at home in their company, knowing that we all get each other without needing to exchange words.
So yeah, that's Me.
