KTM Superduke 1290 First Impressions
I had a short go on a KTM Superduke 1290 recently. Wow! What....a....bike!

Twin Brothers from different mothers
The KTM SuperDuke 990 and the Aprilia Tuono 1000R are twin brothers (albeit, born of different mothers) that were conceived with the same ingredients – Big V-Twin motor, Upright stance, Short wheelbase, Sharp Chassis, quality components and dollops of Hooligan genes.

Litre Class Sportsbike Comparison
On a whim, I decided I wanted to replace my Dorsoduro with a sportsbike. Now for starters, there are no bad modern sportsbikes. The performance on each and every one of them is so fantastic that it's amazing that some of them are called "boring". Any of them will do close to 300KMPH with acceleration that pushes your eyes to the back of your skull. But how does one select "the one" out of all the incredible options available?

Suzuki GSX-R 750 vs. Triumph Daytona 675
This was part of the continuing search for the motorcycle to replace my Dorsoduro. These 2 middle weights were attractive for their agility and perfect power to weight ratios. One of them won me over!

Duke vs Duke
So after a year and 20 thousand glorious kilometers on a K12R, I was ready for something that I could have fun on without having to get to wide open spaces and insane speeds every time. It was going to be asked to do a quick 500K run every couple of months, a 200K backroads blast every month and a 20K commute once or twice a week. I had some ideas and I went a test riding.

BMW K1200R - The Beast!
I bought a 2005 BMW K1200R with 4,200KMs in 2011. Yeah fucken 4 thousand Kilometres in 6 years! It had rizoma rearsets, some blingy bits that made it look really cool (I thought so anyway) and a full remus system that was louder and angrier than the R1 I had before. This is a long-term review of this unusual motorcycle
